Upgrade advice needed

Hey guys, i'm currently running a i5 7600k, and a gtx 1070ti for 1080p 144hz however im sometimes dipping below 144 fps on newer games like BO4 and im looking to upgrade but not sure if i should start on the cpu side or the gpu side

Like BF1/V , COD now finally takes Cores into play as well as Speed !
Specially at 1080p your very CPU bound to .
Easiest solution, slap in second i7 and overclock it !
Your GPU is fine !
Or upgrade, as your running 1080p high Hz monitor , intel is the best but most costly solution . I7 8700k or 9700k
If not 9600k pushed to 5ghz +, but personally not getting more cores up a 100% jump from 4cores
