Hi All,
Currently own an X2 based system (in sig) and am looking at a C2D upgrade. I'm only looking to spend £500-550max and was initially interested in getting a 6600, 2GB RAM and a decent mobo that will support future 1333mhz fsb's.
Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2 Dominator PC2-6400C4 (£173.89 inc vat at 17.5%)
Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) (£204.44 inc vat at 17.5%)
Asus P5N32-E SLi nForce 680 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (£152.74)
plus a cooler for the cpu, at the moment I am erring towards an AC 7.
I guess really I'd like to know what you think of the mobo / Ram options I ahve looked at? Are there cheaper options that may perform better? Is the P5N32-E definetly a 680 board as the plus version uses a 650 chipset?
Thanks In advance for your help
