Upgrade - advice please

I'm looking to upgrade my setup, Currently comprises:
Athlon XP 3000 @2.2
512mb ram
WD 250gb drive
Liteon CDR RW
ASRock K7541GX
Nvidea Geforce 3 graphic card
Dell 22" panel

New setup will be used for running flight sims, viideo editing etc, hopefully with vista. I will overclock it to a dgree but priority is to have a stable system which will run 12 hours a day without locking up. What about this spec as an upgrade?

well the specs look fine but wouldnt a quad be better for video encoding?

only changed the MB to a Abit IP35 and the CPU to a Q6600 in the spec below

according to the gigabyte website, revision 1, 1.1 and 2 of the board supports a quad

OK, just done a quick comparison of the giga vs abit and seems the Abit IP35 is the way to go.
