Current set-up is:
  • ASUS Radeon RX 580 Dual 4GB
  • MSI B450 GAMING PLUS AMD Socket AM4 Motherboard
  • AMD Ryzen 5 3400G 3.7GHz Quad Core CPU
  • 32GB Crucial Ballistix Sport LT (4 x 8GB) DDR4-3200
Am I better looking to upgrade the CPU or graphics card for an improved gaming experience?

Also depends what resolution your gaming at but stil the biggest upgrade would be a gpu as Mickyflinn mentioned above. If at 1080p then a cpu upgrade will also help.

Both the CPU and the GPU, but you can upgrade the GPU as a higher priority, and then try to play at 3840x2160 which will move the CPU bottleneck to the GPU performance ceiling.
