Hey Folks,

I'm in the market for a new PSU, as my current one is now 4 years old and the fan on it has almost died.
I know I could just replace the PSU fan, but I'm not convinced it'll be reliable for much longer than it has been.

My current setup is as follows:

Gigabyte X58A-UD3R (Rev. 1.0) | Core i7 930 | 12GB DDR3 1600 Mhz (6x2GB) | DVD+RW
MSI GTX460 Hawk 1GB | 4x 7200rpm SATA | 1x Green SATA | 1x Samsung 830 256GB SSD
Case: Cooler Master 690 II Advanced (USB 3 Version)

Previously, I had a 650w PSU - mainly because I previously had a more power hungry GPU.

I've been advised that a 550w PSU is more than enough for my system as it currently is.
I'm aware that "brands" don't mean good PSUs, and it's much more down to the Caps, OEM the specific PSU is based off etc. though unfortunately I don't have all that much knowledge of which are good, and which are poor.

In terms of a PSU, my minimum requirements are: 8x SATA connectors (Drives, DVD+RW and case's HDD dock), 2x Molex connectors (Fans), 2x 6pin PCI-E (GPU).
If a PSU had 3+ molex and 6x SATA that would also be acceptable, as I could use a Molex to SATA convertor.

I don't really plan on changing much until either my motherboard or CPU dies in terms of hardware, but I do need a new PSU that will last.
I've never gone with SLI before and have always upgraded from one card to another (8800 GTS -> 260GTX -> 460GTX so far).

Chances are whenever I next upgrde my GPU it will be another single x60GTX (660 etc.) at some point in the future, unless there's a very good reason to go SLI instead.

In terms of future proofing, is sticking with a quality 550w PSU fine, or would you go with a quality 650w instead?

TL;DR - Can you recommend me a 550w or 650w PSU with (minimum) 8x SATA, 2x Molex, 2x 6pin PCI-E OR 6x SATA, 3x Molex connectors, 2x 6pin PCI-E? I am looking for a PSU that will last me for a good few years.
Should I worry about Haswell compatibility - my understanding is that any PSU will work provided the C6/7 states are disabled in the BIOS, correct?

So far I've been looking at:
Seasonic G series 550w '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply
NZXT Hale Power 90+ 650W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply (Currently out of stock) - which I know is based on a Super Flower Golden Green

Are there any other PSUs I should consider?

Many Thanks for any help/advice you can give! Sorry for long post!
