I currently have a zalman reserator (the later, black model) cooling a S478 P4 and an Nvidia 6800GT. All is silent and I am happy :-)

I want to upgrade my system this Xmas and am thinking that an 8800GTS and a Core2Duo is the way to go.

To what extent can the Zalman cope with the new kit and, more importantly, how would it fit or would I need new waterblocks or fittings for the CPU and Graphics Core?

Would it be better to stick with the 8800 stock cooler, hoping it's quiet enough, and just use the reserator on the CPU?

TBH I won't be expecting to in the begining. I only run my current P4 at 200Mhz over stock. I'm more interested in silence than an extra 10% speed

Watercooling on graphics cards makes a big difference to temps. If you're limited by heat with a graphics card oc, or just don't like the ridiculous temps, watercooling it is a good solution. You'll need a beefy rad though.
