Thinking about getting the following

Iiyama ProLite B2409HDS 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor
XFX ATI Radeon HD 4890 1GB GDDR5
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 LGA775 'Wolfdale' 3.00GHz (1333FSB) -
Gigabyte GA-X48-DS5 Intel X48
Corsair TX 650W ATX SLi Compliant Power Supply (CMPSU-650TXUK)

Can anyone see anything wrong with this.?
Does anyone think that the lack of DDR3 will make a big hit or not.?

I allready have ram and cpu cooler so im ok there.
 
looks good, i wouldnt worry about the RAM, very little difference, one thing you might consider is a quad vs dual, q9550, the dual will prob be a bit better for gaming but the quad will be better all round
 
yeh either get the Q9550 or even the E8500 even ,

do you intend on overclocking?

if you do not intend on going crossfire later you could save a few quid on the mobo:D

edit: just thought that erm the socket 775 wll be dead in about a year or 2 so you could consider an AM3 setup:D
 
Re. 775 being dead in a year or 2..

Hopefully by that time games will be properly multicore enabled then i'll pick up a cheap quad core for another year.
