Hi folks

Well its been a VERY long time since I posted on this forum and I am looking for some expert knowledge!

I used to be an avid PC builder but since moving jobs a few years ago I'm definitely out of touch with PC building and the current architecture, and will need some advice!

First off, here is my current build which has not been used much. I think I built this a couple of years back but I cant be sure...

Asus M5A97 Pro
AMD FX4100 AM3+ 3600mhz
Corsair Vengeance (2x4)8gb (CML8GX3M2A1600C9)
MSi Twin Frozr3 Blast 2gb GPU
OCZ ZS Series 550w
Corsair SSD 60gb & other regular HD's for storage
DVD RW
BitFenix Nova Tower Black Case
(Just purchased) Clean copy of Windows 10 home
Samsung Syncmaster 22" LCD monitor

I am looking to build a decent gaming machine that can play Fallout 4, Doom and perhaps Overwatch. I hoped at first I could upgrade the above but quickly realised minimum specs for most games now seem to require Windows 10 64 bit. I have installed Windows 10 on the kit above but despite the CPU being 64 Bit I cannot seem to get the 64 bit version of Windows to install - there is no option in the setup process. This leads me to believe that some or all of my gear is just too outdated to support 64 bit? Am I wrong?

I am not looking for superb frame rates/graphics but something that runs smoothly - so a budget of perhaps £450 - £700. I also need a new LED monitor on top of this - between 22 - 28inch.

If you kind folks could help out with some example builds, and as much as I can keep/salvage from what I already have that would be awesome!

Cheers

I should think that you should be able to install 64bit w10 with your current system. Are you sure that you have not been installing the 64bit version?

Also what model is your graphics card?
