hoping someone can give me some advice re: potential upgrade options...
I currentlyhave following spec:
DFI Lanparty NF4 - SLI-D
S939 Venice 3000+ - running at 2.5ghz
1Gb (4 x 256) BH5 DDR
ATI 1800XL 256mb - clocked to near 1800XT speeds
Jeantech Arctic 600w PSU
Dell 2405fpw (important as I try to play all games at 1920x1200)
I've got a little bit of cash now that I could spend on one of the following:
- x1900/x1950
- opteron 144/146/ 165?
- 2gb RAM
edit: or maybe the ASrock 4CoreDual-VSTA & a cheap C2D 4300 - good stop gap?
The machine is used for gaming - is there any point on doing any of these quick fixes in a hope to get a bit more mileage out of this setup? (i'm currently getting a fair bit of slow down on medieval 2 / + I havn't even tried supreme commander
) - alternatively I could just wait 6 months or so till I can afford to get a C2D setup.
what do y'all think?
