Hey Folks
Just recently ive noticed what i think is my sound card starting to act up, if i have cms3d sound activated it will randomly trip out the sound, having varying effects that range form loss of sound, only sound coming through is winamp and when i start a game, all that can be heard is a single high pitched tone...
now, ive turned this setting to off and the problem has gone, im using the latest drivers with windows xp pro (sp2) so, im assuming it isnt a driver issue, so im wondering, would it be best to just go for a new soundcard?
this is on a audigy 2 zs which has more than done its job but its 3 years old now so im thinking maybe its time for a change...so here are my questions...
1)which would be the next best sound card to go for?, factoring in that i really dont want to spend more then 50, 60 quid at the most...
2)i recently purchased some logitech x 530 5.1 speakers, now, these are of good quality but apparantly there not shielded from outside interference, so far theyve popped and crackled to electronic pulses and surges, even after installation of a surge protector, and picked up on allsorts of outside interference, so once again can anyone reccomend some good 5.1 speakers, that they know are shielded against interference, for around the 60, perhaps 70 mark at a push?
cheers for all your advice fellas...
