Morning all,

Any help would be much appriciated with the following questions.

I currently have an E6600 C2D, MSI Power up mlb, 8800 GTS 320 and G.Skill 2GB DDR2 NR PC2-6400C5 (2x1GB) CAS 5.

I am trying to play Conan under Vista 64 bit and it is really choppy even on low settings, my resolution is 1650 x 1080.

Anyway onto my question, I think it may be a good idea to upgrade/overhaul a few parts, I have a decent case and a good 600 watt psu. What would you guys recommend I upgrade to? my clocking knowledge is a little limited especially when it comes to adjusting the RAM settings, I have clocked my CPU to 3Ghz quite easily though.

I would say my budget is about £400 that is flexible though, i'd rather spend more and not need to upgrade for a couple of years, I am aslo mindful of the new video cards out next month.

Thanks in advance!

More RAM would be the best upgrade you can do, 2GB gets used up by vista x64 pretty quickly.

I'd hold off on video cards, what with the pending release of next gen nVidia and ATi stuff.

Perhaps a quad core CPU, but I feel (with owning one) that most things just simply do not take advantage of 4 cores.

Personally, depending on your storage solution, I'd go for a RAID array, makes the system far more responsive when you can sustain a write speed of >200MB/s
