Upgrade advice?

I'm looking to upgrade my pc and give my brother my old one

Current Spec:

4200+ AM2 Athlon
A gigabyte motherboard
3gb DDR (generic stuff)
x1950pro 256mb HIS
120gb WD hdd
350w psu

Right so I want to keep my hdd but the rest of it i will send his way i'll need a new os as well but i'm not really sure on intel processors (i.e. which one) as i've never had one before. Pc to be used mainly for gaming and some light autocad use.

Budget up to £800 but ideally closer to the £600 mark.

Any suggestions welcome!

GA-M55plus-s3G. Wasn't amazingly good when I bought it but it does the job.

EDIT: thats looking pretty sweet tbh, is it worth spending more on a gfx card or are they decent bang for buck atm? cheers Aero

well thats more pawer then you need for gameing plus its under £600
