Upgrade Advice

Current System
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 @2.33GHz
ASRock G31M-GS MB
DRR2 4gb 400mhz ram
Geforce 9800gt
crappy 450 watt PS

I can't decide what I want to do with my current PC. At first I just wanted retain some of the components and built new a whole new rig. But in order to save money I was advised to just buy a 5850 to get the best gaming performance, the thing is I still play on a 19" monitor 1280x1024 res so I feel a 5850 wont do itself justice. Though I do plan on getting a 22" in the not the distance future.

My priority is to get a quality power suppy and a new case as my current one is too small to upgrade parts and I broke it abit :p

I think my CPU is fine for now though I kinda dislike my MB. I would like to build a new PC but I don't have a huge budget. So for now maybe a better option would be to get a new PS,case, 5770 and maybe better RAM.
I play games like WoW, L4D2, Empire & Napoleon TW and Dragon Age, these games especially TW and WoW(in 25m raids) have been getting choppy lately.

So I just wanna know what you guys recommend.

Would probably help if you could be a bit more specific with your budget, also I think your RAM is actually 800MHz as your motherboard doesn't support 400MHz RAM. What in particular don't you like about your current MB?

For budget I could go £400-£500

As for the MB I just think it's a cheapo one I got last year, plus I it only has 4 usbs at the back.
 
CPU-Z shows the I/O bus speed of the RAM (1/2 the actual value), so that's actually 667MHz RAM. The 5770 would indeed be a good option, case wise I think it's easier to let people choose for themselves as it's often a personal matter of which styling you like and what size you want, just make sure you pick one which has decent reviews. Power supply wise I'd suggest OCZ ModXStream Pro 600w Silent SLI Certified Modular Power Supply. You might as well stick with the same RAM if you're not changing your processor or MB yet.

edit: I will add that I recently bought myself a Coolermaster HAF 922 case which I'm quite pleased with, however it's not to everyones taste.
