Upgrade Advice

Thinking its time to sink a bit more money into my PC, just not sure where best place to put it would be, advice? (spec below)

Core i7 930 @ 4Ghz
6GB DDR3
2 x 500gb in RAID 0
ATI 5870
1000w PSU
Antec 900

Have thought about SSD, seems to be a lot of hype about them but they are still so expensive for how much capacity you get

SSD would be my suggestion

Yes they are a little expensive but it's one of the best upgrades you can do and worth every penny imo.

Yup I'd also say SSD. Everything else seems quite adequate in your setup.

Have been thinking either SSD or, i'm not even sure why but i like the idea of having 16GB of memory

There is such a thing as having too much RAM. It's like having 20 pockets and trying to find which one you put your car keys in

6GB should be more than adequate for everyday use anway and you would see a much greater benefit from a SSD.

Yeah too much RAM is pointless. It's like buying a 2tb HDD and only ever using 100gb. No need to pay for the extra.

yeah probably, just the e-peen thing i expect lol, i play games a lot, at 1650 x 1080, also a lot of video encoding / muxing, hence the memory thoughts
