Hi all

I am looking for some advice on upgrade options, I am looking to purchase a new MB (something future proof if possible with the option for SLI if I need that going forward) + Processor(+fan) and some RAM (8GB)

£400 is my budget. (for all 3 items)

To be used mainly for Gaming at 1080p

I already have the following for the build (I also have DVD, Mouse etc)
(Case) Antec 900 Nine Hundred Case
(CPU) ZM600-HP (600w)
(OS) Windows 7 64bit
(Graphics) Geforce 8800GTS OC (to be replaced near Christmas, just hanging on for the new releases, price drop etc)
(HDD) Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache

Not sure if you need to know anything else, but just let me know.

I am struggling with which MB to get really, so any advice on that would be great.

I am looking at the following CPU http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-368-IN&groupid=701&catid=6&subcat=1275

What features do you need/want form the mobo?

This would be cheap option

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - OEM £155.99
1 x MSI Z68A-G43-G3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £86.58
1 x Kingston HyperX Genesis 8GB (4x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual/Quad Channel Kit (KHX1600C9D3K4/8GX) £37.99
1 x Gelid Tranquillo CPU Cooler (Socket 754/939/940/AM2/AM2+/AM3/LGA775/LGA1155/LGA1156/LGA1366) £25.99
Total : £317.95 (includes shipping : £9.50).

Though you could upgrade the board quite easily within budget if it doesnt have the required features

Well enough so I might get away with replacing the MB next processor upgrade, support PCIE 3.0 etc for the future and a decent GUI for the bios.

I will be looking at Over clocking too maybe should have said that at the start! :)

The SLI requirement is more of an option really might not ever go down that route.
