Upgrade Advice

Hi after a bit of advice, i am currently working on a ship in the atlantic so have saved a bit of cash up, my plan for my leave is to buy a few of the latest titles, battlefield, modern warfare, oblivion etc, i currently have a i7 920 oc to 4 ghz and 2 msi 460 gtx's my psu is corsair 1200w. My monitor is a dell 30" i would like to run these games with fairly high settings and max resolution, will my current cards cut it or can you guys suggest any card to upgrade to. I will be coming back in Feb so have time to think about it. thanks in advance!

Hi marine thanks for the advice, like you said best waiting but cant wait to upgrade haha! Never been with amd before always nvidia, the cards have done me well on the screen even with crysis and mafia 2, but i feel like you say with these new gen games i need an upgrade, i will bump the thread up the week before i ship back. I have went with the 7970 my fiance Bought it for me for my 30th,here in miami only £320 man the prices are better over here, need to look at more kit when in port next time i went with msi as they have a global warranty. Only thing is need to wait 4 weeks until i am back on leave, time to stock up on games. This is my first time with ati you think i will be happy with my choice?

Already got the 7970 now, to be honest my 460's were doing well but decided to treat my self, i work away 8 months of the year so like my limited time i have for gaming to be high end, i just think of the money i am saving not out drinking every weekend over those 8 months to justify the tech spending

Yeah i couldnt believe it 498.99 dollars in a computer store fort lauderdale (near miami) i was like i want it, couldnt belive the missus piped up ok i will get you that for your 30th!!. My 8 weeks leave i will be getting plenty gaming in.
