Hi OC'ers

Think I need to upgrade now ;)

Replacing:
Q6600 @ 2.4 Stock
GA-X48-DS5
2x 2GB DDR2 OCZ Blade

Keeping:
EVGA GTX580 DS SC
OCZ RevoDrive 240GB
Windows 7 Home 64Bit

Use my PC mainly for gaming, so would like a CPU thats best for gaming (heard good things about i5 2500k) Also a motherboard that will allow me to overclock (which i may do in the future)

All ideas welcome, price is not really an issue, would like this setup to be running as long as possible.

Thanks, this is my first post :D

Ahhh sorry, I should have been more clear. I only need a motherboard, CPU and memory.
Oh and Heatsink (if stock will not be good enough).

Thanks for the price up guys, would this setup last me a few years? Or should I be waiting a bit for any new hardware planned to come out soon?

With a nice overclock this CPU should last a long time!

Ivybridge [latest CPUs] is out on the 29th, there's some reviews here so you can decide if its worth the wait:

Had a quick read about the IB, doubt I will go for that. I heard that the ASROCK motherboard is very easy to overclock with, and have been browsing this forum and most people recommend gigabyte motherboards, especially the new Z77's. Can I ask why the motherboard thats been recommend here is chosen by you guys?

Yeah, I'll pop back to this thread and ask just to make sure. Oh another thing, I was looking at the Vulcan case, which I believe will need mATX motherboard, (would be easier to take to LAN events) But I'm not 100% sure if I will go down that route, I have a HAF912 atm.

Yeah I really like they way its designed, especially with the handle! So useful for LANs. Not sure what to do with my HAF though, will have to sell it, doubt i'll get much. Would need to get rid of my old motherboard, Q6600 and the RAM too.

So Im pretty sure I will get the Nzxt Vulcan, just need to make sure the CPU cooler will fit, and the mATX motherboard listed above is the best I could go for.

Thanks
