Upgrade advice!

Hey there, recently I have gathered up some money to finally upgrade my computer. £200 is all. (I am not very good at saving).

My current specs are:

Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E7400 @ 2.80GHz
RAM: 8 GB
GPU: Geforce GTS 450 (Approx. Total Memory 4050MB, or atleast dxdiag says so.)

The computer is, or was, built for gaming and thats the way I want to keep it. But unfortunately with my current hardware it is hard to play new games such as BF3, Day z (arma2) and also because of FPS I cannot play games such as Dota2 on highest quality.

Is it the GPU that needs upgrading or should i look into cpu's too?

Sell GTS 450 and E7400.

Picking up a secondhand Q6600 and heat sink (for OCing) will be a great idea.

The 7850 is a great card and will fit in your budget well, though i think the E7400 may bottleneck it.

grab a half decent heatsink and overclock the cpu. it can hit around 3.4ghz iirc (usually)

ya but that has a stock heatsink.
msi afterburner solves the higher stock clock issue though ;p

Its not a stock cooler.

Sorry to get this topic up again but I've had a look at the HD 7850 and GTX 560, did abit of comparing and asking around and..

Which one would you say would be better price wise (keeping the graphics at best, ULTRA on BF3)
