As my comp gave up the ghost last night (CPU and Motherboard) I am having to do upgrades.

Old comp was i5-750, 8GB Kingston Hyper X 1600, HD 4650 1GB and Creative Titanium Sound Card. Friend will be having graphics card, memory and sound card for his son.

Computer is used for gaming (mainly Skyrim), movies, music (live in a small flat so comp used for everything) and some photo/video editing/processing.

I will be ordering Motherboard, CPU, RAM, SSD, Graphics Card, Sound Card (I have 5.1 speakers) and PSU.

I will be looking at allowing for the £700 to £800 mark. Ideas please?

You might find CUDA support useful for the video encoding editing, the 7950 is also very tempting from AMD. I don't think you will need a dedicated soundcard, onboard audio really isnt that bad to be fair.

If you want to have SLI as an option then this maybe

@nick THIS PSU is silver rated and only a couple of quid more than the pro. It's actually cheaper than the 750W version
