Upgrade advice

Hi there,

Its that time again - PC is now just far too slow and need to give it a kick, looking just to upgrade the core components MB, CPU and memory.

Current specs
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 LGA775 'Wolfdale' 3.00GHz (1333FSB) - Retail
Abit IP35 Pro (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
G.Skill 4GB DDR2 PQ PC2-8000C5 (2x2GB) CAS5 Dual Channel Kit (F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ) (Deal Product)

Possible Upgrade
Intel Core i5-4670K 3.40GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail
Asus Z87-K Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard
TeamGroup Xtreem LV "Frost Edition" 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C10 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit

Total : £339.56

Mainly use my PC for music and some gaming - mainly FPS.

Please let me know what you think and any advice gratefully received.

If you don't already have a SSD I would recommend one!
