Hello!

It's been a long almost 2 years since I built my last computer and now I am looking to upgrade I've realised I am very rusty and have no idea about anything these days. So was looking for some advice on upgrading. This is my current setup -

Asus Sabertooth Z77
2GB EVGA GTX 670 FTW
Intel Core i5 2500K unlocked s 1 16GB Corsair Vengeance (2x8G CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10)
CORSAIR 750AX PSU

I was considering just getting another 670 ftw but not sure if I would be better just going for a gtx 780. Maybe add in some more ram modules or upgrade the processor. Any advice would be welcome as I really am stuck at the moment.

Thanks in advance!

Oops... Yeah have an intel 520 ssd.

I'm my too confident at overclocking myself tbh... It's something that I've never really got into. But I know you can achieve higher speeds with this one. I followed a guide on here when I built it that had an overclock that kicked in when it was required but I'm not sure if it actually made much difference.

As for budget I'm not actually too sure. A gtx 780ti is definitely out of the question though. I can't really justify paying that much for a single card.

I agree with Mickey,

Overclock it until it bleeds.. :)

What CPU cooler have you got? If not invest in one.

Have you overclocked your GTX 670 FTW? Most 670's like their memory's overclocked.

I managed to keep miune stable with +500mhz (afterburner).. It gained me 20% FPS on the Sleeping dogs benchmark. :)

I've got an h80 on it at the moment so I take it that will be decent enough?

As I said I'm really not confident with overclocking. Are there any guides or something you could recommend?

Brilliant I'll have a look once I'm home, thanks!

Would adding another 670 ftw add much of a boost to gaming? I know a single rad is always better but would the sli not be better than a normal 780?

Or do you think it would be worth while changing the card at all?

Yeah the H80 is a great cooler.

In the right games 670 SLI will outperform a 780, though SLI and Xfire alike have their issues.

Personally im running a 670 and see no reason to jump ship. :)

Great to know! Especially as it will save me a good whack lol. Been working all week so hopefully will have a chance to play with it tomorrow or failing that next weekend.

Ok so got it to 4.5ghz idling around 43 degrees. Ran prime95 and got this... Is this ok? Really not sure if it's too hot or not. Should add that the room is around 24 degrees.
