Upgrade advice

Wanting to upgrade CPU and motherboard
Iam using i5 3570k and msi z77a-gd65
Wanting to upgrade to i7
Do I go with
I7 4770k with either msi z87-gd65 or msi z87 mpower costs £387 to £396
Or should I go with
I7 4820k extreme 2011 ivy bridge
With asrock x79 extreme 4 costs £394 it's for gaming video editing and making music. Thanks in advance

If you want to go to an i7, why not just pop a 3770k into your current board. Will be much cheaper than having to shell out on a whole new platform.

That's what I was going to say. Unless there is s something wrong with it as there isn't much difference between the 3770k and 4770k

As right as the guys are above about moving to a 3770k they're just priced to damn close to a 4770k to really recommend getting one.

If you can get a good price on a used/new 3770k then go for it but as I've said above, most 3770k's are only £10 cheaper then a 4770k making them a little expensive at it's current pricing.
