Hi folks,

I currently have the following setup and am considering upgrading... But I'm thinking of only upgrading the GPU as I dont want to fork out too much money right now. The question is, is a GPU upgrade going to make a lot of difference or do I need to a new motherboard, CPU, etc?

Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge)
Gigabyte Z77-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance Blue Low Profile 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
MSI Radeon HD 6870 2GB
Samsung 256GB SSD
650W Power supply

I was thinking of going for http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-251-MS I guess it should be a decent upgrade? :) The computer is just for web, movies and games.

Yes upgrading your GPU will make a difference and as suggested a R9 280 or if you are looking to spend a bit less even a used 7950/70 if you can find a good used one.
