Evening all,

I need some help/reassurance regarding an upgrade please.

I currently have:

i5 3570k @4.5ghz
Asus 7950 DCUII Top
8GB TeamGroup 2133GHZ Ram
75gb Intel SSD
120gb SSD
460gb HD
Corsair H100i
NZXT Hale 550W
CM Storm Stryker

So, the plan was before christmas I was going to downsize the case and change a few things. This never happened, and there is now no need to downsize.

However, the GPU is getting a little long in the tooth, and games such as Dying Light, that I would liked to have bought on the PC, I have had to buy on the PS4.

So, I was/am planning on just updating the GPU. I have been looking at the

and obviously need to change the PSU

I have no plans to SLI, so presume that PSU will handle what I need it to?

I only play games and surf the net. No other work/uses. I game at 1080p, although would like to/will move this to a better resolution within the next 6 months.

Cheers.

The NZXT is a good PSU and will handle the load of the 980, 600w is for those who by the cheap nasty psu.

Review of the PSU:

And gpu:

Here is Guru3D's power supply recommendation:

GeForce GTX 970 or 980 - On your average system the card requires you to have a 500 Watt power supply unit.
GeForce GTX 970 or 980 in 2-way SLI - On your average system the cards require you to have an 800 Watt power supply unit as minimum.
