Hi All
The imminent arrival of GTA V has got me thinking about upgrading, that and the fact that my system is over 3 years old. So I was thinking I'd replace the motherboard, CPU, RAM and GPU (currently have a P67 mobo, 2500K and a 6950).
I was googling earlier and found a thread on another forum where people were suggesting it was hardly worth upgrading from a 2500K to a 4690K as the performance improvement isn't that great, which seemed odd to me. But based on that I was wondering if I'd be wasting money and better off just upgrading the GPU?
Can anyone give any advice on this, I'm okay with spending the money to upgrade it all but don't want to be throwing money away if its not worth it, would the rest of the system bottleneck performance if I just upgraded the GPU? I never tend to upgrade individual components at a time and generally prefer to wait and do it all in one go.
I only game at 1680 x 1050, I may well replace my screen at some point in the future but doubt I'll go above 1080P.
Thanks.
