Upgrade advice

Hey all im looking to upgrade my GTX 670 to a 980 and not sure which is best as a few models are flying around. Also a psu as mine is a bit old

intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 2GB
Asus MAXIMUS VII HERO ATX LGA1150
G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB DDR3-1600
Corsair HX 620W ATX Modular SLI Compliant Power Supply

Your PSU is old but still decent and even if its degraded a bit it has solid power.

The GTX980 only uses a little bit more power (20-30W) than the GTX670.

I would go for the reference, it'll be great should you ever SLI and it's very good at cooling too

P.S I would get the EVGA out of those three, trust me its a good card

Thanks for all the help i was looking at the EVGA GeForce GTX 980might get one for now. I can get a new psu and another 980 to sli when they drop a bit in price.

850w for SLI should cover you easily.

I wouldn't get a GTX 980 as they are way over priced. You could get a GTX 970 or AMD 290X for half the price and not far behind performance wise.

+1 for the gigabyte. U can easily flash the g1 gaming bios into it without any issues.

The Gigabyte rep has said that they do an 8 GB GTX 980. If you can find it, go for it.
