Bought my youngest son a cheap pc few weeks ago which has an fm2 athlon 860k iirc in it with an r7 260 gpu. Now im looking at getting him a new card and was wondering what would be a decent card to go with that cpu. I noticed the r9 390 saphire card for £260 and the 380x look quite good how would either of the cards mentioned with the cpu he has and what would gaming performance be at 1080p in bf4 the cod games along with the annual releases like fifa, assassins creed and the likes???

I haven't checked but straight off it seems the CPU would be a bottleneck for a 390. Having said that, it would immediately provide a lot more performance than a 260, as would a 380X.

What PSU does the rig have? And what case?
