Hey, I need some advice please with my upgrade.

This is my current rig:

Fractal R4 case mid tower
4670k
ASUS GTX 670 2GB
8GB RAM DDR3
1TB HDD
Asus Z87-K
600W Corsair builder PSU

I am currently connected to a 1080p Samsung LED TV. I can say I have not enjoyed couch gaming and prefer being at a desk. Therefore I'm hoping to move to a Monitor setup.

I need recommendations please on where to go, whether I should salvage any parts from this build or not?

1. I'm interested in upgrading to a 1070 or 1080, and I'm in the process of buying a 500GB 1TB SSD from amazon tonight.

2. I don't know where to go monitor wise. Do I get a 4k/60hz monitor, 2k 144 hz monitor or a 21:9 monitor [all gsync?] 21:9 REALLY interested me until I found out about all incompatability issues with dark souls 3, overwatch etc.

Thank you!

I don't really have a budget so to speak... but I don't wan to spend for the sake of spending.

Just a gpu upgrade (and a ssd if you haven't already got one) is all you need. Get the cpu overclocked if not already and that's you set for a good while yet.

Thank you,

I bought a samsung evo 1 TB SSD.

My main two concerns are now:

1. The graphics card (Nvidia 1080, a/w Asus restock)
2. The Monitor (currently no monitor)... 21:9 34'' vs 1440p/144hz vs 4k 40''

I would chuck a new psu in there while you are at it. The Corsair Builder is a bit meh.

Something like an Antec Truepower or SuperFlower Golden Green would be a fairly cheap replacement.
