So finally upgrading from an i7 2600k / GTX970 which has lasted well :) but I can't keep pretending anymore ...

So I'm looking at:
3900x
Crosshair VII Hero
Asus RTX 2070 Super Dual Evo (can't see the point of anything higher when hitting 1440p)
HX750i (or maybe 850 - but either way)

Probably:
Phanteks P600s (need to add a few HDDs and additional SSDs - so hopefully enough room for that).

So the bits I'm unsure about are:
Memory: Team Group Xtreem 32Gb (4x8Gb) C16 3600Mhz - Might be an issue with height? (Maybe 2x16Gb LPX - with slower timings).

SSD: 1 or 2 of TeamGroup Cardea Zero 1Tb (at near same price as Samsung - why not?) - Corsair MP600 might be too hot / tall for board?

Cooling: Noctua NH-15S with an extra NF-F12 fan (which might have to nudged up a bit for ram).
Kryonaut 1 Gramm

This won't be doing anything overly stressful, but will be required to run a few VMs (hence 32Gb) now and then.

Last machine has been on 24/7 for 6 years plus, so I'm nervous about AIO failure and having never used one am not sure about them. But I could be convinced, which would solve the memory height issues.

Is there anything obviously wrong here, would I need more/different fans for the case?
Never used TeamGroup stuff before so I'm a bit concerned about them (but I'm sure they are just as good is not better than more common brands), really don't care bout RGB... (I tend to look at my screen not my case).

Thanks in advance :)

Consider Gigabyte and Zotac for your GPU. Both have excellent UK RMA and Gigabyte have a rep here.

3600 MHz is the sweet spot for Ryzen memory so you're spot on there. You're right to consider the height of the RAM but OCUK can help you there.

As multiple VMs are your thing, you might consider a Threadripper build if you can afford it. Several users here report great success.

SO more or less everything is installed...

However, the memory (according to the BIOS) is happy running (3600Hz CL16) XMP, but according to CPU-Z or Ryzen Master it is only running at 1800Hz... am I misreading something? Task manager reports 3600Hz.. so I'm not sure if it is right or wrong..

Cheers :)
