Upgrade advise for 1440p gaming

Hello

I'm looking to upgrade my pc at some point soon and am not sure which way to go

I have 1440p 144hz monitor and mostly play CoD warzone atm, with current set up I can get between 90-120 fps on fairly low settings and would like to be able to push that higher/higher settings

I think my Motherboard and cpu are possibly the weak point but I'm not sure, I have:

Rtx 2070 super
I5 9400f
Asus h310 prime motherboard
Corsair 16gb ram currently set at 2666
Corsair gold 650w psu
Samsung evolution ssds

I have been looking at new motherboard and 10th gen cpu combo or just go for a better 9th gen intel cpu for now or wait for the new amd cpus but not sure if its worth it.

Could do with some advice please

Sound about the right fps take a look here with a 9900k and a rtx 2080 the fps your likely to get.

Oh right, so even with better cpu not likely to see much of an increase?

You probably would see a small increase but im not sure if the cost is worth it.

If you want to up hit 144 fps 1440 p high detail your going to need a 3080 or maybe a 3070 but no benchmarks for the 3070.
