6gb corsair dominator?
hx 1000 psu
vista 64

I think it is still perfectly capable, even if it is getting on now.

Are you simply gaming or doing more?

just gaming...its coping ok crysis 3 maybe testing it abit but spose if i upgrade to a gtx 670 or 680? how would i use the ssd? never had anything to do with them?

Nope, overclock it and it's on par with a 2500k, more or less. Only difference really is efficiency and power.

Put it this way, you will not notice the whole 2-3fps gain with the £180 you spend.

Your CPU is fine an SSD is the best performance upgrade you can do just install your OS onto it and you will see a big difference
