Hey guys havent fiddled with my computer for years just been enjoying it but its come to the point where i have some spare money so was thinking about maybe upgrading some parts if its worth while. Heres my computer spec

CPU - Intel i5 750
Motherboard - MSI P55-GD65
Graphics card - Asus 5850
Memory - G.Skill 4GB 1600Mhz Blue
Case - Antec 902
PSU - Corsair VX550W
CPU Cooler - Titan Fenrir
Optical drive - Sony AD-7240S-0B
Hard drive - Samsung F3 1TB
Monitor - dell 2209wa

What do you reckon then guys? I have got the samsung evo 840 ssd to install into the computer but thats it the only negative points i have is the speed of the computer i would like it faster to load programs and start up but hopefully the ssd will sort that. Monitor feels a little dated now too but dont wanna get into spending too much. Thanks

Just noticed the spec is in my signature doh!

What do you do on it? Is it mostly gaming? If so what res do you game at? What I would do is overclock the cpu to around 3.8Ghz and replace the gpu with something like a GTX970.

Hi sorry for not explaining enough i just generally use the computer for work with heavy use of internet then the odd game but usually there not too intense. monitor is 1680x1050 i did overclock the cpu to around 3.8ghz when i first got the computer too

A fresh install of windows on that SSD will go a long way to speed things up. Apart from that maybe look at a more up to date graphics card.

This, but then the monitor you are running isn't a great resolution either, so I'd really be looking at replacing that too, as well as the GPU

thanks guys gpu seems ok with the games i play doesnt drop frames and can play on high setting so might just keep that for now. As for a monitor the only problem i have with my dell is the colours dont seem very rich and everything looks abit dull
