Hi guys, need advise on what will be best to do next. Been out of the loop. No idea what to do

Recently got back into gaming. Started playing Warzone lately (Yes i know) and few other games.
Other then gaming, will be used for work, youtube, streaming, movies, browsing etc.

Current build is:

Ryzon 5 3600
B450 Tomahawk Max
16DDR4 Ram
Gigabyte RX590
and few SSD

In terms of build im happy with it. Buil it back early 2020. Only thing thats letting me down is the graphic card. Is it just worth upgrading the graphic card? If so what should i get?
Don't want to break the bank. but whats a good option?

Or full upgrade?

Thanks

I would upgrade the cpu and gpu, maybe memory if it's slower than 3000mhz. Maybe consolidate some of those SSD's onto bigger and faster M2 drives as well. A few questions.

What speed is your memory?
What make and model psu do you have?
What resolution and refresh rate is your monitor?
What storage are you using?
How much do you want to spend?

Depending on your answers to the above, you could just upgrade the GPU first and see how you get on.

If you need to change CPU and RAM, unless you can get them cheap/second hand then maybe consider AM5 upgrade.

I'd just do the GPU first and see if you're happy with the performance. As long as you PSU can handle it. What GPU would depend on budget. Also it's always a good idea to state your resolution as well.

Sorry with the late response.

Ram is Team group vulcan 2X8gb DDR4 3600mhz dual channel
Monitor is MSI Optix G27 - resolution 2560x1440 and refresh rate is 165hz
2X gigabyte 480gb SSD
250gb Samsung 860 evo SSD (use it for window only)
and 2Tb hard drive

As for psu its an old one, used my previous psu from my previous build (that was around 2014ish... Safe to say, it'll need replacing

Being old doesn't mean it'll need replacing? I've got psus from builds 10+ years old going no problem. What wattage?

Regardless as others have suggested I'd look at doing a gpu upgrade first, seeing how it goes and then potentially cpu afterwards.

What would you recommend?

Don’t want to break the bank? At the time getting RX590it was an all rounder for me as it did my needs. Just need something similar

Completely depends on your budget. Maybne something like a 7800xt especially if you're playing warzone as I think amd cards tend to do well there.

Ohh yea PSU is Corsair TX650w
I've recently upgraded a system to a ryzen 5600 and 4070s using the same psu that is I don't know how old but at elast 5+ years, no signs of any issues :) (other than losing some of the cables over the years!)

Entry level GPUs are the AMD RX 7600, the Intel B580, and the Nvidia RTX 4060.

An upgrade to a Ryzen 5 5700X3D will also help gaming performance.

Thanks everyone. Will look at 7800xt. Which one should i go for?

If you're thinking about that amount of money you should wait for AMD's new cards, if only because they'll have a downward effect on current AMD GPU prices.

That's previous gen, two years old now- wait for 9070XT

I'm still chugging along with a 8GB 480 because of these stupid prices, but it's really got to the point now, some games don't even load, and some are pretty bad, stalker 2 etc

Thanks for all the advise. I may as well wait. It just makes sense in terms of future proofing.
