Hi son has a Gygabyte MA785GMT-UD2H (rev 1.1) http://uk.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3274#with a Athlon II X2 250,

Now when playing games (eve,swtor) the cpu will max out at 100%.

So he has the option of upgrading to a new AMD cpu or switching over to intel if its not cost effective to stay with AMD.

His budget for a new AMD is around £100 max and double that if he has to goes Intel

Thank for the replies looks like it will be to stay with AMD for now and get a SSD when funds permit then save for a new upgrade next year
