Looking to upgrade for first time in a numnber of years and not sure what to go for- intel or AMD
mostly gaming and work related- will have probably have a 4090 to use- looking for sublte non rgb puke mobo, cpu & ram into a Fractal Torrent compact- the 4090 I am waiting on is 339mm and case fits max 340 gpu
Any thoughts or recommendations would be gratefully received- budget for cpu, mob & ram 1500 max ish

well the AM5 socket will be around for longer than intels current socket i would imagine

that is the main advantage of AMD in my eyes, and the impression i get is AMD also runs cooler and more efficiently so probably best for your "compact" case
