Whenever I have upgraded it has always included a new HD and therefore a fresh WinXP install, but this time Iam keeping my current HD. After I have fitted new MB, CPU, RAM and 3D card should I immediately format drive or can I boot to WinXP to check everything working ok? Just worried about driver conflicts especially as I have an Nvidia card and going to be putting in an ATI.

Hmmm, maybe I just answered my own question there..... :)

What you could do is when you get your new stuff, before you power down with the old ATI card in just uninstall the drivers, make sure you use drivercleaner too.

That ok to do?

What about all the other drivers for the current MB etc? I know what you suggest is far quicker but will give more problems?

I would be tempted to just do a fresh install myself, and backup all the essential files. Removes the chances of problems and gives you a nice fresh install :)
