hey all,

thanks to many of you i'm near ready to finish the spec of my new upgrade.

looking to get a new case, mobo, ram, cpu, gpu and watercooling for both gpu and cpu. I've got topics on most of these parts but here it can all be brought together as the final build.

so new spec so far:
Case - 750D, but this is going to change as found it's not what i want.
mobo - ga-z97x-ud5h - may change, got a topic open
cpu - 4790k - again may change as people think it's overkill for inteded use
ram - no idea, really open at the moment just want over 2000mhz ddr3
gpu - gtx770 or 780 if the prices come down because of the new 900 cards.
watercooling - custom loop with ek cpu and gpu (full cover) 5.25 bay res' single pump with no lighting or anything.

as each part of the uprade becomes closer to final spec i'll pop back and change the above parts for whatever they change to.

parts of the old system that will be kept are:
psu - tx750m
ssd - 120gb
hdd - 2x 1tb
fans - 2x sp120
wifi - netgear wn311b - old but trusty
dvdrw - sony
monitor - iiyama 2473hds
kb - logitech g510
mouse - logitech g500
wheel - logitech g27

prob try and sell my old kit once the upgrade is done. would make someone a nice system. no idea where to sell it as none of my mates want it. but whatever that will just help fund the new build really. sure ebay will help with that.

open to surgestions on the spec as would like to get the best combo of parts possible for the budget but also to make sure they all work well together. this forum's extensive experience has been loads of help so far :D

thanks for reading

Right so this is the week it all happens :D
so far the new spec looks like this:

Case - 750D
mobo - ga-z97x-soc
cpu - 4790k
ram - g kill 2400 8gb
gpu - gtx770 palit
ssd - 250gb m500 crucial
watercooling - custom loop with ek supreme cpu and gpu waterblocks, dual 5.25 bay res' with single d5 pump, 360x35mm radiator

team that all up with the old kit:
psu - tx750m
ssd - 120gb
hdd - 2x 1tb
fans - 2x sp120
wifi - netgear wn311b - old but trusty
dvdrw - sony
monitor - iiyama 2473hds
kb - logitech g510
mouse - logitech g500
wheel - logitech g27

not sure what it will overclock to untill it's all in and running but hoping for well over 4.4 for the cpu and who knows with the gpu.

thanks all for the help in other topics on working out what bits to choose at my budget level. you have all been very helpful and taught me lots about the current crop of kit and how to mix these parts.

well case, mobo, watercooling and gpu turned up today, a whole room full of boxes :D
waiting on cpu, ram and ssd.
going to see how best to install the water loop while waiting for the other bits. also forgot to get any TIM so that'll slow the build a little.
