I'm about to upgrade my PC by switching out the motherboard, CPU and GFX card, so i'm going from:

P4 3.0Ghz (Socket 478)
MSI 875P Neo-FISR Motherboard
Asus GeForce 6800 V9999 AGP

to:

AMD (Venice) Athlon 64 3500+ 939pin
BFG nForce 4 GRNF4U Motherboard
XFX 7900GT 256mb XXX edition PCI-E

I think all the other components I've got should be ok, but I'd appreciate any thoughts if anyone thinks otherwise.

I've got an Antec TruePower 480W PSU
and 1GB (2x512MB) Corsair PC3200 RAM

Will I be ok with these on what i'm planning to upgrade to?

You should really look at the 3700+ SD for a few quid more. A much better chip with double the L2 cache. Maybe instead of the BFG motherboard your could try:

Asus A8N-SLi SE nForce4 SLi (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard
Asus A8N-E nForce4 Ultra (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard
MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum nForce4 Ultra (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard

Yeah I know what you mean about the 3700+. I would be tempted but i'm stretching my budget as it is.

As to the motherboard, I'll check into those thanks. I've already read up on the Asus A8N-E but i've heard mixed things about it. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be sticking with a single GFX card for a good while, so not that bothered by SLi.
