I have an Antec NSK1300 mATX Cube Case. (see PC details below)

I really like the case and it seems to run fine - although I haven't tested it for long. But, unfortunately its hot, the GPU cooler is loud and I'd like to Overclock the GPU & CPU.

I'm not sure whether I should upgrade what I have or get a new case & coolers.

Option 1:
I was thinking of swapping the CPU cooler for a Zalman CNPS8000 and the GPU cooler for a Zalman VF900-CU.
Possibly modding the case for better airflow (any suggestions?)

Option 2:
Buy new case, a skt939 CPU cooler and a Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 R2 gpu cooler.

I've owned one of the NSK1300 cases and to be honest, I wouldn't buy one again. Also like yourself I had the CNPS 8000 and a VF-700 on a 7600GT.

As you've said, they run very warm, and the zalman does its best at cooling any CPU, but the rest of your components are at risk as the air flow absolutely sucks. Its worse than a shuttle.

Before binning the case for a decent tower, the case got modded with a 80mm fan in the side at around 10 months of age. This was due to a HD failure which I believe was due to the HD overheating - a Samsung 80GB Sata2 that was reaching around 60C after a few hours use.

Funny you should mention HD failure.
I just came back to discover the machine had somehow turned off while it was repartitioning the OS and Data partitions. Now I have to reinstall everything...

I use the PC as a media centre - I was thinking of getting an Antec NSK2480 or Fusion 430.

Either look ok, would definitly fit some quiet 80mm fans though to either.

I would recommend you look into a Sugo-SG01 case as well.

where would you recommend locating the fan? - or several fans?
was it easy to do?
