Upgrade Core 2 T5300 Processor

Hi guys,

I want to upgrade the processor on an Advent 7203 laptop (http://www.uktsupport.co.uk/advent/laptop/7203.htm) that I bought a couple of years ago for Uni as its starting to age a bit. I guess the first question is how easy/difficult is it to do as I have built all my desktop pc's from scratch but never opened up a laptop before. Secondly, what processors could I upgrade to? Dead easy on this one, just whip the big cover off and remove the heatsink and fan, replace cpu and you're away, this will take a 667 merom cpu so t7200 t7400 or t7600 will give a good improvement.

Thanks for the reply. Could you tell me what details I need to look at whilst choosing a processor that is compatible with my laptop? For example, am I looking for a socket number? Chipset number?

Also, would a T7300 work?

Needs to be a 533 or 667 FSB CPU t7300 is 800 so don't think it wil work the ones I listed are the top speed for this machine.
