Hey, I would like a CPU/Mobo/RAM upgrade please
I plan to run a 2080 at some point.

At present I'm on a 4670k, Z87, 8GB RAM

I aim to play:
1. 4k gaming
2. VR gaming (skyrim/fo4 etc.)

I have 2 budgets

£650
£850

I do some video editting (4k) but its not super important.. I'd say I do a video edit maybe one every couple of months and its only a 5 minute clip.
I also want the option to do CEMU/Dolphin.

At present I'm not sure whether to stretch budget for a 9700k, go for the 2700x or get an 8600k. Can't seem to find any decent deals on a 8700k.

I don't plan to upgrade for a few years if this processor can support my VR needs. I doubt I'll do much high refresh rate gaming.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £810.49 (includes shipping: £10.50)

Also Strix 2700X bundle deal to

Last time I checked most emulators able to run dual core , some pushing quad - key is still speed in that regard .
Dont do vr so can't assist there
Gaming at 4k. Not much difference between intel and ryzen , i7 9700k just to costly , would mean siffdiffer between 2080ti and 2080 !!!

Thats really tempting.. if they'd knock the SSD off the price, I'd definitely bite!!

How much is a 9700k build going to cost do u think?

I'm already set on the 2080... cant justify a 2080ti for the small performance gain.
