Currently running an Asus P5N32 E-SLI with Intel e6850 (775 socket) CPU.

I'm moving onto Windows 7 in a few weeks but wonder if i should not throw a Quad core processor in there? Or maybe treat myself to a i7 ?

With my current board, what is available out there? I did a previous check a few days ago, but i think i'm outta luck getting a quad core to suit my mobo, or am i wrong?

Thanks in advance

EDIT: just read from the Asus site it's Compatible with Intel® 06/05B/05A processors

Oh dear ...??
So far i've had no problems with this board, do you think it was because of it's release during the early part of the quad era that perhaps it's proved unstable?

Hmm sounds like an i& is on the cards then...

Thanks for the advice guys, was looking for a cheap interim alternative but i guess a few more bucks means a better system.
