Hello,

I'm playing with the idea of upgrading the cpu to something like a i7-6700K and overclocking. Or would I be better going for a new bundle upgrade? I feel Like my GFX card has a bit of life left in her yet but the cpu is letting me down.

Main game at the moment is ESO. During busy moments, seen fps hit low 50's.

If you think a new bundle is the better choice, please spec me. CPU, mobo, ram and air cooler. Not bothered wether it's AMD or Intel.

Budget £600 ish.

My spec is as follows.

i5 6500
MSI Z270 Tomahawk
16gb HyperX
SSD Samusng Evo 860 1tb
Asus GTX1070

I'd upgrade the bios to the latest. Then look for a cheap 7700K on the Members market even though they don't appear that often on there at the moment.

Not much sense to upgrade CPU, unless you can do change for what you consider pocket money:
No matter the CPU, it will have about half the CPU power of next-gen consoles.

That's what I thought and would save messing about reinstalling windows.

What speed is your RAM?
It's 2400mhz.

I agree, if I can scoop something at a good price.

If I were to upgrade, I keep hearing the AMD 3600 six core is a good build for the price. Just to see a comparison what motherboard, ram and cooler would be good to go with this at a decent price?

If the price was reasonable, then I could be swayed.

You'd make a chunk of the money back by selling your cpu/mobo/ram as a bundle to be honest.

Wait for to see what the B550's have to offer and consider a 3600-3700 with 3200-3600mhz RAM.
