I mainly play world of Warcraft but with some other games thrown in around it.
That's said I recently upgraded my desktop to a EVGA 970 GTX 4gb, in the main its been worth but in wow I am only (he says only
) getting between 45-75 fps which moves about hugely when raiding and lots of action on the screen. For a bit more detail I am running in windowed mode hence the lower FPS.
I am starting to think that it might be more my CPU that's the issue and I am wondering if I should upgrade.
My desktop is an overlockers rig from a few years back running a I7 2600k clocked at 4Ghz, liquid cooled with 16GB ram.
My opinion until now is that the 2600k at this clock rate is still a beast and upgrade to a 5xxx series CPU wont make much difference to WOW?
