Just a question about what options I have to do next.

Just upgraded my main rig to a Q6600 so I have the e6400 spare

I also a Asus P5NE-SLI doing nowt in the loft and and a MSI mATX 939 board (one of the best I thjnk but can't remember exact model no atm).

Now do I just sell the lot and get a BR-RW for my HTPC and some more memory for my main rig (tempted to go to 4GB); though do I go for 2x2gb so I have spare slots or just get two more Geil ULL to fill the slots on my DS3R.

Or do I do something different like stick the e6400 and P5ne-sli in the htpc and get the extra mem as well. I'm not sure about this route as in my current set-up (see sig) I use ffdshow to upscale everything to 1080p and the most I've seen it get to is 66% CPU load, so I'm assuming that the e6400 will be overkill.

Or do I sell everything and redo the htpc based on the lower power am2 cpu's (or is there an intel equiv?)

Decisions, decisions......

Anyone care to throw in their tuppence?

I've never had any reading problems but I completely don't get what you're saying.

So you upgraded the E6400 system to new system with Q6600 or just swapped the CPU.

You wanna sell that p5ne, the msi 939 or one of them is your htpc setup ? if not what is that setup? do you want to upgrade it or change it ?

:/

write down all the specs of all pc's and say clearly what you want or think of doing with any, and what's the budget like :).
