Upgrade dilema

Ok im in a bit of a pickle, my cousin needs new parts for his pc, he needs 3 new parts but can only buy 1 at the moment due to financial restrictions.

Q6600 G0
ATI 4850
WD caviar black 1TB

Now hes got a fine computer but those are the parts he wants buy for the moment can only buy 1, which would you choose ?

not the graphics card ? at the minute he has a 2900xt 512mb.

thats why the spec was asked for, easier to make a decision if we know what its set to replace

hard drive would be the last option unless he has no space left or is still running an ide drive.

4850 would be a good replacement for the 2900 if he games.

If he has a 2900 then a 4850 would give the biggest upgrade.

yep, current games can't take that much advantage of quad cores anyway, and there's quite a difference between a 2900xt and a 4850.
+1 for the 4850
