Hiya,
Been out of the loop for a few months so thought I'd ask before buying.
I'm currently with my old trusty 955BE, 460GTX 1GB and 4GB DDR3 which I bought for peanuts couple of years ago and it still does the job fine, however,
I've been trying to do some live streaming recently and it seems that the CPU or GPU or both just can not handle the load anymore ( FPS when no streaming - 100-130, streaming drops to 12-16 with stream on ).
Now the question is, I could upgrade to bulldozer for very cheap as I have GA990GX mobo so it will be only a CPU and GPU upgrade, however, seeing as the new FX-8150 does not cope great with this kind of tasks I am not entirely sure if it will get to the performance point that I want - which is streaming 1080P on high details with maybe recording at the same time or streaming to 2 different sources. I might have some YT etc playing on 2nd monitor as well.
I was thinking of i7-3820 Sandy-E or i7-2600k. I know X79 boards are pricey but if it's really worth the difference then I wouldnt mind paying that extra 100quid.
I guess I will need a new GPU to go with that as well, budget for GPU will be around ¬150, unless 200 will get me something insanely more powerful but the main point is I would rather not spend extra cash if I dont have to.
If any of you know that the 8150 and say a 6850 can pull off 1080P streaming and recording with things running in the background on 2nd monitor without any kind of slowdown but i7 with 7850 can do it 15% faster - I do not care if it's 15% if the other one will do that perfectly fine.
I will probably be looking to snatch some 2nd hand parts off MM as well so feel free to include 2nd hand prices.
Max budget ¬400-600 ( the lower the better ).
Thanks in advance,
Phoenix
