Hey all,

I am due a handset upgrade from Orange and was wondering what you guys recommended?

Basically my main needs are the ability to use satnav software on the phone (with a decent sized screen to see it on), a decent camera and preferably A2DP support so I can use bluetooth stereo headphones.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hmm yeah definitely looks like it will do the trick, guessing it will cost me a bomb though on upgrade

The K800i looks damn appealing, especially for the camera quality, A2DP support and general build quality, but does it support any satnav software?

Nav4All *might* work but it streams the maps over GPRS and that could get expensive very fast.

The N73 won't have A2DP sadly, but the Sony Ericsson Symbian phones (m600, P990, W950i) will do.

The P990 is looking more and more appealing, lets just hope it doesnt cost a bomb.

My 18 months is up next month so I assume after that point I can upgrade anytime I want meaning I can wait for the P990?

Yep, that's right :) And yeah, the P990 looks amazing :)

Gah. Meh. Pfft. I really cannot decide for the life of me what to get for my upgrade.

All I do is text and call people. Very occasionaly listen to music on my phone and take snaps on it.

The current plan is to sell my k750i on the bay and use the cash i get for it to put towards an ipaq and satnav setup.

I dont like the size of the n80. My ideal phone would be the 8800 with a decent camera and memory stick support. Going for a w810 seems like a sideways step not an upgrade.

Any suggestions?

Why not try the K800i,Very nice phone.

Don't like the joystick on the Sony phones. I have had to take my k750i apart a couple of times to get it back going. K800i is a bit big too. Thanks though mate :)

If the 8800 wasn't such a featureless phone I would have snapped it up.

The joy on k800i is a sealed unit, therefore no dust etc... shall be causing you to disassemble the unit ;)

It is slightly big, but then it is one hell of a feature packed phone.
