Upgrade due soon, not sure what to do

My I can upgrade my phone from the 24th January however my contract "Officially" ends on the 24th of February.

Im really not sure what to upgrade to, definitely going for android, Im thinking either Samsung Galaxy SII or Galaxy Nexus, any other reccomendations?

Is it worth waiting for the new batch handsets to come out though?
 
Nexus is the better phone in terms of hardware, SGS2 is still a top flagship android device but isn't as sturdy.

Ever thought about Windows phone?

What do you want out of a phone?
 
To be honest I have thought about Windows phone but I just prefer Android as an operating system on the whole, especially in terms of customizability (customs roms etc..). I just dont want to upgrade to a new phone to have a much better Android handset come out a few weeks later
 
The next big Android releases won't be for at least another 3 months or so, so you have to decide if you want to wait or not.

If you don't want to wait, go for a Galaxy Nexus unless you need more than 16GB of storage space.
 
Mobile world congress at the end of february I would assume some nice new hardware shown from Samsung htc etc, however would be at least a month after that before they hit the street and more likely longer. If you can wait a few months after your contract is up you could potentially get the latest Samsung or htc android flagship phone.
Not sure what time frame the s2 was announced and then released, but imagine the s3 would be similar.
