Could you please suggest some recommendations to upgrade a HD7970 Gfx card please, a range of prices would be useful, just as long as the replacement has a noticeable difference in performance.

Ok forget the MSI as it's a stupid price, the gigabyte is just as good and yes you can run three monitors from the the 1060 video outputs.

Personally I'd go EVGA, But make it the SC not the basic model as it has a better cooler even though it looks almost the same, It may be a single fan card but the coolers more than capable and you get 3 years of EVGA's customer service backed warranty for peace of mind.

Personally I'd only buy EVGA or maybe Zotac which has a 5 year warranty if it's significantly cheaper than EVGA's offerings.

I'm surprised the 8gb 480 hasn't been mentioned that'll also provide a similar improvement over a 7970 and imo it'll be the better option if you keep your cards for a while.
